Humanity has always been aware of gifted people. These certain people have something within their genetics that makes them different from everyone else. Somewhere in their history, they have a being that was capable of using magic. This has passed down from generation to generation, giving their families the ability to use magic. Only within the last 150 or so years have the humans actually claim this to be true, and have accepted it as a part of their culture. Before that, these gifted people were hunted down and persecuted, accused of witchcraft, deals with the devil, and all sorts of other things. But humans were weak, and eventually, the overwhelming evidence of real actual magic pushed them into accepting it.
But where there is power, there is corruption...
Our story takes place in modern day London, England. There are a lot more of these truly magical beings around today than there were 150 years ago, and the world has done all that they can to accept this fact, and everything they can to integrate them into society.

Important Goings On
OUT OF CHARACTER! BACK TO 1.5! Yep, that's right. I revamped the entire site, AGAIN, because I am an indecisive bastard that has no idea what I'm doing. So just after the war happened and just as the Rift opened, for those of you that remember those things, however, Pure Daemons are no longer a thing, we have something new planned for the Rift, stay tuned! A lot of information has been re-added to the site, and about a year has passed since the last revamp. Anyways, just make sure to read the information if you haven't been here since last year.
IN CHARACTER! THE RIFT This is currently a thing in progress between me and a sister site, but we have something much more in store for the Rift this time around. So stay tuned!

 Index • General Information • Character ClassesShinka!!! is a stats-free Digimon roleplay where we emphasize storytelling, character development, and player freedom. Evolution and cool powers aren't locked behind post count requirements. Roleplay as a variety of character classes, including D3-wielding Chosen, Xros Loader-slinging Hunters, and even solo Digimon. Join us for our first episode, where Digimon seek to bridge the Digital World and the real world. Three months ago, people found themselves suddenly transported to a strange new world, some when the popular VRMMO "Digital World" went into maintenance mode and others through "Labyrinth Events", where people have reported seeing areas suddenly "digitize" and strange creatures.
At the top of Infinity Mountain on File Island lies a recently-constructed palace. A Hackmon with a Crest of Light, present during the first Labyrinth Event, believes that the Digital World is actually an illusory reality, and the "real world" is the one that humans came from. Now, she seeks to create a permanent bridge to cross into the real world, promising any human who comes to her aid a way home and salvation to any Digimon who help. |
