Main Plot

Some of these gifted people have been going missing. As much as the authorities investigate, there is no evidence of kidnapping, and there never is. All the cases run cold. Some of these people resurface, but by then, no one remembers them. Their families are long gone, and the police have given up looking for them. It is almost like they never existed in the first place.

But there is a reason for this. These gifted people are taken in and experimented on, changed in every way possible, and made completely obedient to a single master, Riku Tajiir. He calls them his "Pets", and despite the abuse that they suffer, they all seem to enjoy working for their master, giving him their complete loyalty.

Some of these Pets manage to resist their master's will, and escape. This doesn't happen terribly often, but when it does, there is a safe haven for them, in a nightclub. The owner of said nightclub, Kyrarei Riei, helps them get back on their feet, tear away the things binding them to their master, and give them a safe place to stay.

A year ago, a civil war has erupted among the Pets, those loyal to Riku being forcibly removed from the safety of the labs, along with their master. Those that remained behind serve a new master now, with a completely different agenda. Riku took his most loyal pets with him to Kyrarei's club, and he has since set them up in their own place. The experiments themselves have basically been halted, on Riku's side of things anyways, and right now, he's simply looking for a way to keep himself, his pets, and his research safe.

Luka has taken over the labs, and with them, he has created his own line of special pets, or Project Lazare, as it is called. The new master has promised freedom from all of this once Riku is brought down entirely. Once his agenda is met, the Pets that have chosen to follow him will be allowed to leave and live their own lives. Luka seems to be a much kinder master, but he is still capable of some rather terrible things.

Little is truly known about these beings. They seemed to come around the same time the chaos happened did, supposedly drawn by the power of the rift being torn open. But still, they appear to be myth. Not many have seen them or interacted with them. But those that have, are being called "The Touched". Their lives are tossed completely upside down. No one really knows what their agenda is yet, or why they've come here. But in time, perhaps we will find out.
