Humanity has always been aware of gifted people. These certain people have something within their genetics that makes them different from everyone else. Somewhere in their history, they have a being that was capable of using magic. This has passed down from generation to generation, giving their families the ability to use magic. Only within the last 150 or so years have the humans actually claim this to be true, and have accepted it as a part of their culture. Before that, these gifted people were hunted down and persecuted, accused of witchcraft, deals with the devil, and all sorts of other things. But humans were weak, and eventually, the overwhelming evidence of real actual magic pushed them into accepting it.
But where there is power, there is corruption...
Our story takes place in modern day London, England. There are a lot more of these truly magical beings around today than there were 150 years ago, and the world has done all that they can to accept this fact, and everything they can to integrate them into society.

Important Goings On
OUT OF CHARACTER! BACK TO 1.5! Yep, that's right. I revamped the entire site, AGAIN, because I am an indecisive bastard that has no idea what I'm doing. So just after the war happened and just as the Rift opened, for those of you that remember those things, however, Pure Daemons are no longer a thing, we have something new planned for the Rift, stay tuned! A lot of information has been re-added to the site, and about a year has passed since the last revamp. Anyways, just make sure to read the information if you haven't been here since last year.
IN CHARACTER! THE RIFT This is currently a thing in progress between me and a sister site, but we have something much more in store for the Rift this time around. So stay tuned!

Appearance
- Genetics: Ebony black hair, typically in long pigtails, crimson eyes, pale skin tone, a few hidden scars (the most prominent being an X shaped scar over her left eye), bangs come down to cover her left eye. Left eye is also gold (she wanted to be more like her brother so got gold contacts for that one eye).
Attire: Typically wears a school uniform with a black jacket, white dress shirt with a red ribbon around the collar, dark blue skirt, black tights, and black dress shoes. On casual days she wears a dark grey dress with black ruffled edges with two red ribbons holding her pigtails and a pink rose with a black bow on her chest, black straps making a cross across her collar bones and around her neck.
Personality
- A very kind hearted soul and a pacifist.
- Can be sassy when pushed and proves she has quite the sharp tongue.
- Tries to be funny but typically fails, although often this is seen as adorable.
- Extremely honest and this can be taken bluntly and accidentally offends people.
- Very apologetic when she does something wrong or thinks she did something wrong.
- Very responsible, as she helps take care of her brother Dakota as he takes care of her in return.
- Not usually talkative but can hold a conversation, just would rather sit on the couch and read a book.
- Intelligent to almost scary means, also analytical and observant to everything around her and her brother.
Other
History is similar to Dakota's just a different point of view. Winter loves the colors white, black, red, gold and light blue. Her favorite animals are gryphons and snakes, but still is a huge animal lover. Her favorite drink is hot chocolate. Favorite food is chicken strips and french fries. All of her ribbons came from her siblings and she refuses to replace them. Her favorite dress was given to her by her sister. She loves to sing and dance, and surprisingly her favorite dance style is Hip Hop. Her favorite genre of music is Alternative music. Her favorite app on her phone is Vine. And she loves her brother very dearly.
